Play 99.6 – Jordan’s Number one Hit Music Station
The launch of Modern Media in 2004 introduced onto the Jordanian media scene an unprecedented endeavor: Jordan’s first commercial FM radio station, Play 99.6. Launched in full-scale a mere two months after the inception of Modern Media, Play 99.6 immediately became the radio station of choice for Jordanians.
Prior to Play, English Top-40 radio had yet to make an impact in the Kingdom, and since it began, Play has inspired a plethora of competitors to create spin-off stations; none of which have been able to triumph over Play 99.6. Proving its influence on not only Jordan, but the region as well, Play 99.6 was the first station in the Middle East to operate using research based programming, and the first to employ state of the art research tools. What’s more, Play 99.6 broke new ground when they became the first and only station in the region to launch Podcasts with other Middle Eastern stations now following in our footsteps.

Sunny 105.1
Aside from Play 99.6, the newly launched Sunny 105.1 FM is quickly becoming Jordan’s station for “Feel Good” music that features the best of classics, and Jordanian listeners’ all-time favorite hits. Targeting a more mature audience (30+), Sunny 105.1 is what young professionals, couples, and family oriented listeners tune in to most often. After less than a month on the air, Sunny’s initial projections are up to 70,000 daily listeners, based on a recent United Radio study.
